Description

�� The Invisible Monster (Jonny Quest) shambles out of the jungle leaving a trail of burnt earth footprints. Aaron Lopresti is offering a sketch option with his new RAW IMAGINATION: 20 years of sketches hardcover sketchbook. Fifty dollars for the book, the sketch, and US postagepaid. Since Aaron offers such a great price, I keep on ordering. This is my fourth Raw Imagination sketchbook drawing. The only blank white page is opposite the title page so Aaron has to carefully turn the page to do a drawing. The endpapers here have a light pastel color pattern so I was trying to come up with an idea to fit. Since Aaron likes drawing monsters, I remembered this energy creature which became visible when Dr. Quest and Race Bannon fly over in their jet packs and dump red and blue paint over it. Aaron drew this during a livestream and I was delighted to see Aaron remembered details like the smoke clouds rising from the footprints. The creature is basically a giant head so Aaron put in great effort to really make it better. For only the second time, he used color pencils on the subject. I�m thrilled with this result. You can watch this drawing take shape starting at the 1 hour 5 minute point of this Aaron's Christmas Con! Day 2 YouTube video. Aaron also draws a Black Cat and a Ms. Marvel head shot which is more typical of his sketchbook sketches.
