Description

Wolverton "tryout" art, from 1938, which helped him land the 1940s Spacehawk comic-book serial. I've always loved Wolverton's science-fiction oriented work, where he applied his artistry and distinctive organic linework in imaginative and sometimes bizarre ways. Here, I was drawn to the the meticulous, totally clean stippling work and the organic-looking spaceship design. Plus it has his signature!
