Description

When I saw this page up for auction, I felt it had a right place in my home. It's my first ALPHA FLIGHT art from the first volume.

It's an odd piece and story-point for Sasquatch, in female form (Wanda Langkowski), lamenting on love but being at peace also with how his/her return to life has turned out. It's a really nice quiet moment for characters whose lives are almost always in turmoil.

It's great to get some INK work from Whilce Portacio and art from June Brigman. I also really love that this piece of artwork is from the issue between Jim Lee's first art work at Marvel.

That is a beautiful piece. Brigman is at her best when she is drawing normal people.

This is a fanstastic page. I remember not being happy with Alpha Flight at the time this book hit the stands since they had recently gotten rid of so many longtime members of the team, but even then I recall really liking this page and how they were handling Sasquatch.
