DescriptionThis mini-series fleshed out a character introduced to replace Human Torch in the "Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends" cartoon series from the early 1980s. Her simple but memorable costume was perfectly suited to animation. The comic book made her a dupe of Emma Frost and a pawn of Empath, her teammate on the Hellions. She would later become an Avenger for a while. This scene shows her attachment to the horse Butter Rum, whose death Emma would use to gaslight Angelica into fighting the New Mutants. Many original art pages from this era have ragged tops like this. They were taped down to be photographed for reproduction, and then the taped part was simply sliced away with a blade. This was quicker and also marked which pages had been photographed. There was little concern for the fate of the art after that. Social/Sharing |

Poor Butter Rum, she was a good horse! Nice page, there doesn't seem to be many interior pages out there.
