Description

Wow! An Ed McGuinness Hulk cover from relatively early on in the series! Okay, this is a Red Hulk cover, rather than a Hulk cover, but it still counts! I remember well when the series first came out, presenting the Red Hulk as a mysterious and unstoppable villain. I forget the particulars, but in this issue, Red Hulk assembles the anti-Defenders/nega-Defenders/evil-Defenders to take on the Hulk, Silver Surfer, Doctor Strange, and Sub-Mariner! All in all, an impressive piece of art and I love staring at it!

The wonderful thing about this series for art collectors is that you wouldn't even know it wasn't the Hulk without reading the series. In black and white, it's The Hulk, baby! And any cover with Tiger Shark is baddass!

Sweet! Mcguinness and Vines??? Oh yeah. Such a brilliant series. Love your scan as it shows the ink strokes like a texture. Congrats!

Even though it isn't the hulk as you mention, it is pure EDEX art and anything featuring Ross Hulk is still pure awesomeness. Ed created Ross as the red Hulk and it all played out in this series, which is very significant. Congrats!

I don't care if it's the Red, Green, Orange, Calico or Polka-Dot Hulk. If it's McGuinness, it totally rocks!!

It counts, indeed! I always thought these mirror bad guy cover images of the good guy Defenders were great. Can't go wrong with McG doing these characters particularly, IMO! A menacing foursome, to be sure! Congrats, Simon!
