Description

Fantastic Four Giant Size #3-- one of my earliest Marvel comics-- made quite an impression starting with this epic opening title splash by Buckler and Sinnott. The DPS features the 1st app of The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (War, Pestilence, Famine and Death) returning after centuries to wreak havoc on Earth once more! Full of classic 70s Marvel vibe, powerful imagery and even a cosmic BIRTH PAGE!

I loved reading Greek Mythology as a kid so this apocalyptic FF story captivated my 7-year old mind in a way that TV or classic literature never could. Will the Fantastic Four be able to defend the planet against such a biblical force? As Stan Lee might say, "Ride on Marvel believers, The Apocalypse is nigh!"

Previously owned by Jim Steranko for 25+ years, so I�m proud to be caretaker for the next 25!

Wow. Even tho I am familiar with you due to all of the fun from the caf utube show. I have never spent much time in your gallery. So to my surprise I am jaw dropped by this piece. This is an amazing dps and I greatly enjoy the plot squares are a part of the page so I have to chance to read them. Great stuff. Thanks for sharing.

What an impressive 'villain' splash! I adore this comic. Contained within it some pages later is my favorite two page Thing sequence of all time - I memorized his dialogue when I managed to get a copy of this issue the first year or soI was collecting comics about a year or so after it was released.
