I owned the unpublished version of this early in my collecting days, and you managed to outbid me on this published version when it was at auction. It's a lovely piece, congrats, and thanks for sharing!

I was the collector who originally unearthed this piece from a friend who had it sitting in storage to be forgotten for well over 20 years. They bought the piece from Joe directly back in the early 90's at a convention/signing for $100. Seeing what the piece went for on Heritage is baffling. Glad it's in the hands of someone who appreciates it.

What a pleasant surprise to gain a little more knowledge on the art's history. Thanks for taking the time to comment and share the info! Crazy market these days. Beyond pleased to have this one in the collection.
