Description

Charlie Adlard The Walking Dead #51 Cover Original Art (Image, 2008). Surprisingly, not many of The Walking Dead covers actually have zombies on them! But this one certainly does, and here, the undead corner one of the last of the living. An ominous scene that's both horrific and stunning, done in Adlard's chiaroscuro style. The TV series, based on the post-apocalyptic Eisner Award-winning horror book, propelled this title into "legendary" status and has brought more attention to the comic industry than almost any other non-Marvel/non-DC series ever. Created in ink on Image Bristol board with an image area of 8.75" x 13.5".

This was always my favourite Adlard cover, incredibly happy to own it. It's surprising how few zombie covers there actually are in the series.
