Fascinating take on a legendary event deserving of a splash page by Cassaday. His astounding details and tight real world takes on characters were perfect for this era of Cap in a post 9-11 world.

I can never get enough of Cap's Marvel origin recaps. Artists just seem to kill it, just like here. I love where Cassaday placed the light source. It anchors so many elements and artistic tricks on the page. Great score. Congrats!

Cassadays small amount of Cap art is wonderful. Too few pages. I wish he had done more. You have a hum dinger of a page here.

Absolutely wonderful - a stellar example of Mr. Cassaday firing on all cylinders and doing what he does best; outstanding composition and camera angle, beautiful character rendering and dramatic staging, incredible tonal work, jaw-dropping "sum of the parts". Why this wasn't the cover is totally beyond me; a masterwork. Soncere congrats on this treasure! Yowza!
