Welcome back to week two of Superman month here at Shemp's Gallery. Where we are celebrating Superman all month long.

1999's Adventures of Superman #564 by Tom Grummett. Grummett had an incredible run in the 1990's. I'm starting to feel like Ruben with all this Grummett art. Unlike Ruben DaCollector though, I never went looking for Tom Grummett art, he was never my focus. If I happen to come across a piece of Grummett art that I liked and the price was reasonable(his art was grossly underpriced), I bought it. The fact that I have so many Grummett pieces is a testament to the popularity of his art and the titles he worked on.

It's my only Grummett Superman cover and I am glad to have it. It may not be Death of Superman or Panic in the Sky(I want one of those covers!!) but it's mine.

Ah, so YOU'RE the one he sold it to! Figures, this hobby is so small when you really think about it. Really cool Superman piece for fans of the character as well as anyone interested in environmental issues. The sight of such a powerful individual who can move planets, dwarfed in front of a nuclear reactor, really speaks to the power of man made objects, especially if things go wrong. Very powerful statement this piece makes.
