Cranboyz 2021: Turtles, Bats, Apes, and Snakes

When the first crossover between Batman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was announced by DC Comics and IDW Publishing, my friend Carl did not miss an opportunity to tell anyone who would listen that he had the idea for that team-up years ago. With that in mind, I decided to commission that very team-up from artist Mike Bowden, to honor Carl's fantastic idea. This particular piece features versions of the characters from the third mini-series, where Batman's and the Turtles' worlds combined to form a unique vision of an alternate reality. You can see the costumes of the Bat-Family incorporated into the Turtles' looks, as well as a different look for Batman himself.

Very cool, they got their own utility belts with pouches and bat family motifs in the costumes! Batman with the ninja arm wraps are also a fun design choice.
