WITH A STUNNING MINT CONDITION UNUSED ARTHUR RACKHAM
DESIGNED BOOKPLATE OF A SPRITE

ARTHUR RACKHAM, (ENGLISH 1867-1939)

FRAMED SIGNED AND INSCRIBED CARD WITH A STUNNING MINT UNUSED BOOKPLATE OF AN ARTHUR RACKHAM "SPRITE"

MATTED FRAMED AND GLAZED TO 10.5" X 9"

A beautiful presentation of a lovely inscribed card with was matted, and framed with a mint condition Arthur Rackham unique bookplate depicting a Rachham style "Sprite", dancing while playing a flute. The card was matted to show Arthur Rackhams siganture (however the entire card is also shown in one of the images, with the balance of the card being framed under the matt and is intact). The original bookplate is floated above the signature. Signed by Rackham with "Sincerely Yours / Arthur Rackham" (note Rackham also penned on the card the lovely inscription of "Very many thanks for the premiere. I wish I could live in the country". The card verso is a government postcard with a stamped date of April 15, 1915, made out to Mary Tylden Patterson. Newly matted, framed and glazed in a black rubbed frame using all archival materials and UV glass

Unique, elegant presentation with a scarce Rackham signature. The frame, art and card are in excellent condition.
