Description

I loved the MYTH Adventures books by Robert Asprin, and also the wonderful illustrations done for the books by Phil Foglio. So, I just had to have a page of the Comic Art for the series by Phil. And this is a great example, with a self contained set-up/joke structure that almost explains the entire series. It's an oversized piece (the largest piece of art in my collection) and is inked by none other than Tim Sale, in his first professional work.

Beautiful page, Philip - congrats! This series (just as with the mighty and sage-like Rick W) is near and dear to my hearts. Some excellent signature Aahs images here, and I luh-huh-huh-huh-HUUUUV "double dipping" the gag in panel 4, where the clothing could have been thrown onto Skeeve from the panel before... or dropped on him from the panel directly above. An early Easter egg, too, inviting folks to join the (then non-existant) MythAdventures Fan Club. You can always count on Phil Foglio to pull out all the stops and make the experience of reading the book as fun as possible. Wicked cool page, Philip - congrats on the great add to your collection!
