Description

I used to read the Dutch (translated) versions of Amazing Spider-Man and Uncanny X-Men and a few years later I switched to follow and read the original US versions of these series. I remember that I was looking for something new, something different than what I was reading and stumbled on Spider-Man 2099 (1992) #13 by Peter David and Rick Leonardi. It was the perfect combination of what I like: Spider-Man and sci-fi.

A few years later I lost track of Rick�s work, because �Image�-style was for me the only �cool� thing for awhile, not until I rediscovered these issues again when I heard about a new volume with Peter David again several years back.

I asked Rick for an alternative version of the cover of Spider-Man (1992) #1, but absolutely no recreation. I�m truly stunned about how amazing the commission became: in style of that cover but yet so different. Exactly what I asked for!

Man I'm jealous! Leonardi is a true icon for his work on Spidey 2099 and this only proves how and why. Congrats on a truly meaningful and unique cover worthy commission!
