Man, have I got such love for Nick's work!! For a while after school I stopped collecting and reading comics, just due to the demands of life, and when I came back into catching up, here I found Nick Bradshaw's work... Simply amazing!!! Immediately struck me as very Art Adams in regards to some of his style but also the insane level of detail that he puts into a scene - take this DPS for example, it lays some groundwork for much later in the story arc around how the X-Men will help Kitty, and Nick for full cinematic in order to make it that much more memorable and set it all up!!

I do love Jason's work on this series, at it brought the X-Men back to basics and added in so much craziness that the X-Men have collected along the way - as well as making me care for the younger general of mutants for the first time, it also pushed the veteran X-Men into much more character growth, that it's not just fighting and surviving, but helping teach and grow the next generation. Beast is one of the veterans in this series that I really enjoyed reading - less of a moral grey bastard that Bendis started turning him into, more of a wacky professor that gets lost in the science and is just allowed to go wild with creating the ultimate school, and in this scene is showing Beast as that wacky professor in that he gets to take his students it of the classroom into the field and the most scifi way possible!!

I feel that Jason, Chris and Nick created such magic in this series and this is just one early moment of how out there this series went!

Bought directly from Nick's wife Danica from their website - artbycanucks - and they were beyond a pleasure to buy from, patient and kind, I will keep buying from them for as long as I can!!

This double page wide scope cinematic extravaganza reminds me of Fantastic Voyage with all the organic matter giving us a visceral setting. All the adventure and team dynamic you'd want plus the highly detailed work that runs the ink pen dry.
