Description

I've been a big fan of David Mack's painted and multi media work since I read Vol 5 of Kabuki about 20 years ago. It totally changed the way I looked at comic book art. An original painting by him of my favorite character makes this a grail piece for me. It's 12x18 and this scan he sent me doesn't include the stylized MACK signature he added to the bottom right corner. Big thanks to Kirby's Comic Art for getting this into my hands. UPDATE: This painting is seen inside The Marvel Art of David Mack hardcover by Clover Press released on Kickstarter in 2024.

I too fell in love with David Mack's mastery via Kabuki. For me it was seeing the gorgeous coloring of the Reflections series and fhe rest is history. This is a magical pairing of a kickass mutant with a kickass painter...like PB n' J. Congrats!
