Un’opera di altissimo contenuto artistico e storico, Davis padroneggiando in modo superlativo l’uso delle ombre decide di inserire un elemento assolutamente tabù per un comic strip dell’epoca, un terrificante scheletro umano. A magnificent example! The dungeon setting really makes this a real treat to behold and that final panel showing Mandrake as a skeleton is just exquisite!
