Fabulous Redondo artwork! The figures are great, and the spacecraft in the final panel are superb.

Thanks, I had the option of purchasing two Redondo pages from RtA, and chose this one on the basis of the spaceship!

Inking is remarkably clean for such an intense character and facial expressions driven page. All those different line weights and shadows to give each person their own personality is very important to differentiate the command structure. The space ship panel looks like designs off Battlestar Galactica, but they are done very well to give the page a nice ending kick to send it off with a flourish.

Thanks Marcus, you've left thoughtful comments on all of my pages and you show genuine insight in to the art.

A guilty pleasure. The story was pure tosh but the artwork was lovely.

Thanks Peter, to be honest don't remember too much about the story, as my re-read of 2000ad hasn't got that far yet, but I do like Redondo's style.

Redondo was an artist I didn't appreciate sufficiently as a kid but thankfully I've correct that particulary piece of wrongheadedness. Return to Armageddon is stupid, glorious fun.
