DescriptionHere is a premiere page from one of the best story arcs in the Bronze Age! Any page from Fantastic Four #121-123 are HIGHLY sought after, but battle pages are in a league of their own.In this issue, Galactus has come back to Earth. Is this the beginning of the end for the third planet from the sun? Maybe not. The Ravager of Worlds is willing to make a deal -- he'll spare the Earth if the Silver Surfer will become his herald again. After the sky-rider declines, a furious free-for-all begins, with the FF and the Silver Surfer against Galactus. The Buscema/Sinnott team was in peak form for these scenes from "Galactus Unleashed." On this page, Mr. Fantastic sneaks inside Galactus' ship, attempting to seize control. Down on Earth, the Human Torch puts up a valiant effort battling Galactus on his own. Social/Sharing |

Gorgeous page! John Buscema really brought the Fantastic Four to life with his pencils. And I love Sinnott's inks over Buscema. Great pick-up!

Superb page! The strain on Reed Richards' face is brilliant, and what a fight scene between the Human Torch and Galactus! Every figure is a joy, and the inks shine. Wonderful.

I'm sure it took the fans a while to stop missing Kirby on this book. But great stories and art like this probably went a long way towards helping to ease the pain. Wonderful example from a bygone era of magical storytelling.

Does this fit in your Weight Watchers plan, Galan? Earth is pretty fatty...Maybe try a few rice cakes first? Wow! Byrne FF battling Galactus! You don't get a whole lot better than that. Beautiful page from two of the masters. Huge congrats!

Hard to find comics and hard to find art. A classic for the times, Marvel magic that built upon the foundations of the house of ideas takes form in pages like this.
