A PUBLISHED ORIGINAL STUNNING DETAILED PEN AND INK DRAWING BY GARTH WILLIAMS:

A scarce, beautiful stunning piece of Garth Williams original final artwork for THE GINGER RABBIT, page 3. With the write up on page 2 of: "... Never in all my life have I seen a rabbit as big as that or as brown as that or as tame as that - what a pity he won't be here this afternoon for my little first to see ...". The art is rendered in stunning pen and ink on heavy paper stock. A fantastic highly detailed close-up illustration of the mom watching the gigantic rabbit SNEEZE. An incredibly whimsical, and detailed piece with stunning presence!

The art is signed by Garth Williams in full signature lower right with detailed publisher notes in red below the art. A fantastic LARGE piece! Presented in a black gloss frame, matted, and glazed to a completed size of

PROVENANCE: The art was purchased from the estate of Garth Williams via the auction house who sold his estate back in 2013. Each piece is an original and sold directly from his estate. A copy of the original invoice will be included with each piece, which will provide both provenance and authenticity for the art.

The art is in excellent condition with publishers notes outside of the margins and would be stunning framed. (Image of the art as it appears in the book is shown in the listing for review purposes, however please note the book does not come with the listing)
