Description

This was a birthday present for a pal way, way back in the olden times of 2014. Uncanny X-Men 122 was his first issue and it set him down the life-long path of being a huge Colossus and X-Men fan. It was a no-brainer to re-visit this comic for his milestone birthday.

The original, published cover on the far left is by Dave Cockrum and Terry Austin. This commissioned reinterpretation was penciled by Val Semeiks and inked by Doug Hazlewood. All of the lettering, logos, comics code and corner box art is hand drawn. I continue to be very happy with how it turned out.

For those of you unfamiliar with this book, Wolverine uses a training exercise in the Danger Room to help Colossus overcome a crisis of self-confidence. This drawing gives you a 'one minute later' look at how that all turned out.

"One Minute Later" pieces...another theme that should be its own category. Love the details on Colossus and those walls once he folds them in. Congrats!

Big time Colossus fans have quite a nostalgic feelings for this issue. Did Wolverine practice his baseball slide to get to the front of the action? Semeiks and Hazlewood get the scene and provided the resolution too the built up tension of the original.
