Horror was hot in the 70's as it went mainstream! Comics Code Authority loosend up by 1971 and Marvel launched plenty of supernatural stories that followed the literary traditions which then branched out to what the movies were doing. Colan is the best at the horror and mysterious cinematic look and Son of Satan brought that energy to the forefront. Look and behold the way the action plays out as opposed to what a superhero page would do. The 4th panel lingers on the shot where the hero could be in peril and defeat is a possibility. The faces of demonic possession gives you pause that even if flung through a window, no physical force can defeat this demon.

Stunning page! Colan was on fire. There is so much action there, and yes - that last panel is pure '70s horror. The window scene is also superb - and utterly brutal as exorcisms go. Congrats!
