Description

I loved Brubaker/Fraction's The Immortal Iron Fist! I'm stoked to add this page from that story to my collection, because it features Wendell Rand in K'un L'un at the gate of Shou-Lau The Undying, with a flashback cut to his dad Orson Randall, and background appearances by Tu-An and Lei Kung the Thunderer. Kano's use of ink and acrylic white paint really make the 1st panel fun to look at in person. Thanks to Mark Hay at splashpageart.com for shipping it safely and securely!

Keeping within the theme to the page, Kano's storytelling ties everything to key in on that last panel of the close up even as the wind effect sweeps down to split the page.

Absolutely awesome, Doctor F! We are, as you know, cut from the same cloth when it comes to favorite creators and books, and to have an example from this treasured run is a next-level win. Love that first panel and the strong sense of storytelling on display, including how the only panel borders here are containing the past, and a flashback to Orson... Artists without borders! Beautiful page, man! Sincere congrats!
