10x14.5" thick artboard has mixed media original art by prolific and renowned Spanish Marvel Comics cover artist Rafael L�pez Esp�. Cover is for the Spanish Motorista Fantasma V2 #106, which reprints US Ghost Rider #30 (featuring Doctor Strange) as well as Marvel Team-Up #78 (featuring Spider-Man, Wonderman and The Griffin) and was published in Spain by Mundi, Marvel Comics Group, c. 1978. Artboard has been hand-painted from edge to edge w/art showing Ghost Rider's skull face w/Johnny Blaze and Doctor Strange battling in the eye sockets, a recreation based on a panel in US issue #30 page 26 top panel by Perlin and Mooney. Art area measures 10x14.5". Back of artboard has handwritten "S. Heroes 105" at top in black felt tip pen and three tape spots on right edge. Artboard has some minor corner tip wear but o/w art remains bright, slight curl at top, clean and Exc. A wonderful example from the era when Esp�'s art dominated covers of Spanish Marvel comic books, featuring one of Marvel's most popular characters. Superb and dynamic cover art. Comes w/reading copy of the Spanish comic this cover art was created for.
