Description

This is a great shot of Nixon's "family" and a killer collection of satire on American pop culture which is something the artist always delivers on.

This is about a third of a page from the first page of Hard Boiled #3. Geof Darrow cut all of these up into individual panels and sold them at conventions back in the day. This is a nice big frameable chunk of that Darrow/Miller collaboration.

Recall that the end of the 3-issue series ended in 1992. I personally associate Hard Boiled with the movie "Falling Down", starring Michael Douglas, released 1993. Make of it what you will. :-)

Falling down is a really great movie but I cannot see the association. Wait..Michael Douglas is not merely a fired defence worker. Hes a killer cyborg? So, when he allows himself to be shot by the annoying policeman at the end, he was only playacting. He gets up, like Arnie, and terminates him, then goes off on a violent killing spree, before being destroyed by Sarah Connor in a very convenient manner. Now thats a special edition I would like to see. Great art.
