DescriptionVenom / Carnage Infinity Comic # 1 pages 41/42/43Art by Scott Hepburn Written by Karla Pacheco Marvel Unlimited - September 22, 2021 It's been fascinating to watch Marvel and other publishers movement in the digital space in recent years with digital outlets like Marvel Unlimited. More specifically, it's been intriguing to see the release of Marvel's digital only comics in 2021. These digital comics almost felt like Netflix releasing an entire season for viewers to binge all at once, except Marvel was giving us an entire season's worth of weekly comic strips all at once. These original pages feel like a modern comic strip of sorts in a vertical format on 5.5 by 17 inch board. Each one features parts of all of two or three digital pages that you can scroll through on the app. But enough of my ramblings... I'm loving Hepburn's style and energy and thought these characters were a perfect fit for him. These books were also well timed with the Venom 2 movie excitement. Thanks to Hepburn and Cadence Comic Art. It was fun to see this page come to life a bit in the promo image Marvel Unlimited posted on Twitter:

Amazing montage piece as it is physically a scroll to have people scroll to read on the screen! Every Venom vs Carnage image looks like it would explode off the 2D surface!

Thanks Marcus! I'd love to see an animated version in Hepburn's style. I agree it has so much life and explosiveness to it.

Really great series of Venom/Carnage images, George. But I'm still confused as to why the 3 pages connect vertically and therefore don't have context for how the art is drawn. What size paper, is it all on one board, what size is it, etc. Perhaps you can clarify that in the description so enquiring minds might know?

Thanks Ruben! Great call outs. I added some additional images and info. The art is basically a standard board cut in half vertically. I can only imagine the thought the artist and writer had to put in to make this format work. I will say some of the choices on where they cut off the art for a new "page" were interesting/odd in a few spots.

Nice pick up, really cool format and the art is outstanding. Kind of regretting not grabbing one.

Thanks Tyler! The vertical-half boards threw me off at first but they're great to look at in person. There are still some solid pages available here.

GREAT piece, George. You know I'm a Hep fan, too...enough where I actually got a couple pieces from this series, too! Love this one. Great action storytelling flow as you move down the skinny board and I love how the the Carnage symbiote functions as panel borders. And that promo animation is cool, too! Congrats, man!

Sweet piece, George, with some scorching, scrolling action going on. Not only are the images themselves awash with the usual Hepburn energy, but it's a really cool trick to make the vertical panel borders part of the image itself, allowing the pedal-to-the-metal action here to zip along even more quickly! Fun to have a physical (and non-standard) piece for a new, experimental digital format. Really great, interesting, and unique piece, George! Congrats!
