DescriptionSPECIAL COMIC ART LIVE PRICE DROPFrom the « In Rage and Blood and Fire » story (War of Kings, book 5, 2009). Pencils by Paul Pelletier and inks by Rick Magyar. Lilandra Neramani has been killed. Araki Will Die. Who will rule? The Inhuman Royal Family, the Imperial Guard, the Starjammers... All are fighting, and everything is possible now. Word of Lilandra’s death comes to the Immortals early on what turns out to be the Last day of the Kree - Shi’Ar war. Black Bolt’s decisions following the Secret Invasion have led the Inhumans unto direct confrontation with the Shi'Ar Empire, and their crazy ruler, Vulcan. Now that the Majestrix is dead (Lilandra was assassinated in the previous issue, and died in the arms of Imperial Guard Gladiator), Gladiator's despair, rage and fury just can't be stopped. Battle action on this page is thus set on Chandilar, the Shi’Ar Throneworld. Gladiator is devastated. He says: « I turn my loss into action, my lament into rage. She is Gone and hope has gone with her. ». He Knows Chancellor Araki’s Death Commandos murdered Lilandra. Araki commands the Covert Ops Commander known as Black Cloak to protect him from Gladiator’s fury - Araki begs Black Cloak for protection. This page shows Gladiator's and Black Cloak's confrontation. Gladiator realizes he has underestimated his opponent, who’s about to put him to death… when Rachel annihilates the Assassin. « He’s the one who murdered my family », she says. Gladiator corrects her: « Not him, Rachel. He was simply following orders. It was Araki who pulled the trigger. ». And that's when Gladiator walks the talk by tearing down Araki to pieces - Another major turning point in Marvel's Galactic History, and the direct consequence - and revenge, of Lilandra's assassination.
