DescriptionAnother new artist introduced to me by art-seeker Dan T.Fresh out of art school, I discussed the project with Aynsley and this is her interpretation. I was extremely, pleasantly surprised when I opened the package - while we've seen the 'Death Metal' riff before, this color rendition of a moment of fun and relaxation (playing to the only audience that can really relax and enjoy it) gives the piece a massive punch. Not to forget the intense color work. At first I thought it was all pastels, that's how thick the color pencil is laid in. You can find Aynsley on Instagram @yelsnyaleonardis Social/Sharing |

Raising a skeleton lighter...I dig the whole piece, but her color choices are especially cool. The green tone to shade the back arm is a great choice, and the red halo backlight is really nice. And what a great death does death metal concept. Great call and execution. Congrats!

I personally prefer life, but I can see why you love death so much. I agree with Jason, love the color choices here!

The skeleton audience hands make so much sense....

Leonardis commands the stage well giving Death her guitar solo for a melodic passage to express so much passion and to reach a sonic cresendo. Whether it's from Free Bird, Sweet Child O'Mine, All Along the Watchtower, Eruption, Seven Nation Army, Something, or a tune even more soulful, these brush licks use idiosyncratic phrasing and color scale choices to steal the show.
