DescriptionI am beyond knocked out to kick off 2022 with a beautiful twice-up Myth Adventures page featuring Aahz, Skeeve, Tananda, and Gleep - all in one place! Along with the usual awesome Foglio / Sale visual hijinx, they were even able to leverage the lettering into a giggle (panel three's “What was that for?”). I love the symmetrical layout of the page and how the “break” of the open second tier / fourth panel works to underscore the force of Aahz’s bellow (and the fact that there was no panel border in place to help keep Skeeve from being blown off the page... or maybe it was just blown out with him...).From an execution standpoint, my attention is continually drawn to the very simple but very effective backgrounds; representative - but unobtrusive - “cartoony” tents, grounding the events and setting, but not distracting from the details of the finished foreground figures or inhibiting the momentum of the storytelling or gags. Great, great stuff - a wonderful study of how to pull off a comedic page in a comic book; with character, charm, wit, and a deft touch. Myth Adventures! Man, this is a page right from my childhood. I was a huge Robert Asprin fan, and wore my copies of his books out. I never even knew they had a comic book until a couple of years ago when I saw a few pages. Foglio and Sale really captured the essence and fun of these characters, and the stories bring me right back to the books. Thanks for the smile, Jason. Great page. Congrats!

Don't know anything about this but I like it. Super cartoony expressive characters leading to an all out FUN page. And I couldn't help but think about KC and the Sunshine Band after reading panel 2 :) Congrats, Jason!

Potent indie styled cartooning! This has the quality of fine strip art that hits the power stream of classic mid 80's b&w indie comics boom!

They certainly draw a nice cartoony babe! I remember when this title was coming out. I'm typically into realism but clearly remember always being drawn to this particular art style, though never enough to try it out, let alone collect it. However, if the series is available in TPB format, I'd certainly order it. Congrats on getting a page from a book that obviously means so much to you, Jason!

Such a shame this title was discontinued. I read those issues to shreds. Never noticed the Aahz panel blow out! So cool!
