DescriptionI've been looking for an Alan Forbes piece for a long time and you can probably guess why this one caught my eye. This was a fun example of comics and music colliding! I was drawn to Forbes' swipe/spin on the Rhino's first appearance from Amazing Spider-Man #41 and that it was created for the great FAITH NO MORE! I also love his hand lettering work.As kids my friends and I were listening to FNM (see "We Care A Lot"), I was reading comics, and I had some of Forbes' art on my wall (by my Art Adams X-men poster), which gave this piece a triple-nostalgia factor. The band did back to back, sold out shows on the 19th and 20th at The Warfield in San Fran. This artwork was used for an 18 by 24 inch screen print poster for Faith No More's April 20th, 2015 concert at The Warfield in San Francisco, California. The poster was an edition of 115, signed and numbered. Forbes also did an Artist Proof edition on sparkle foil paper. If you're not familiar with the band here's some footage from this concert: Social/Sharing |

FNM is such a huge band for me but I only saw them live once. Awesome when hobbies collide. Congrats on picking this up, George!

Great poster art! I think FNM are secret Thanos fans! I sweat that is Big Purple's chin in the Rhino mask! Congrats George - this fits perfectly in your collection! Thanks for sharing!

It's so groovy, it's outta sight
You can touch it, smell it, taste it so sweet
But it makes no difference 'cause it knocks you off your feet
You wanted Forbes and now you have it!

Cool poster! It landed in the perfect home. I love Faith no More, I can (and have!) listened to the Real Thing album on repeat without skipping a song.

Anyone who was there on 4/20 don't remember a thing about it.
