Description

The moment I saw this cover, my eyes were instantly drawn to it! Being the fan that I am of both Ed McGuinness and Captain Marvel (or rather Mar-Vell), I couldn't pass this one up! I appreciate the inking by Dexter Vines as well; he does a marvelous job here! The silhouette of a Skull in the background is pretty nifty too (tho it kinda looks like Batman has Captain Marvel cornered)

For those who care about such things, this issue took place during the Secret Invasion storyline and it was later revealed that this Captain Marvel is not the real Mar-vell, but a Skrull, a fact I found most disheartening!

It's still Captain Marvel to me dammit. It's signed by Stan Lee, so it's legit. The spotlight illuminates The EdEx teamwork and how they make a powerful figure pop off the solid brick wall.

Classic looking McGuinness rendition there in CM, and the shadow effect of his adversaries is done great! Congrats!

This is a fun pick up. Huge fan of Ed's - most especially this earlier period where everyone was more bulky. The kung fu pose almost makes me want to read the book! Huge congrats on a terrific pick up!

Love this cover! I picked up the first 4 covers and ended up foolishly passing up the opportunity to purchase the last 1 that you now own once I found out Captain Marvel was a actually a skrull. If you ever decide to part with this one I would love to finally reunite it with the other 4.
