War Savings Stamps for kids could be saved up to get a war bond to help the US efforts in WWI. This was drawn to appeal to anyone who could not serve.

I think it was interesting that cartoonists were being employed by the government even as early as WWI. We would see plenty of this kind of art with pop culture characters getting involved during WWII.
