Description

Beautiful Valérian & Laureline page from one of the greatest teams in comics, Jean-Claude Mézières and Pierre Christin. This is from the 3rd book “Le Pays sans Étoile” (1972), which was prepublished in Pilote in 1970/71.
This is from the famous sequence where Laureline had to dress in a very revealing outfit, which supposedly served as the inspiration to one of Star Wars most famous scenes, Princess Leia in her famous slave outfit…

All the decorative and ornate sets of fantasy with some very fun action scenes at the top contribute to the world building and storytelling that can still excite and bring a sense of wonder. The imaginative vision of this series inspires with sheer ingenuity as each panel pulls you into their adventures.
