DescriptionMarvel Treasury Edition Captain America's Bicentennial Battles #1a Kirby Splash is always a great thing! If it's Captain America's it's even more so, if our Captain arrives on the moon ..... I think I bought a great piece! Social/Sharing |

Great and striking piece from the Kings second round at Marvel in the mid- to late 1970s, you should mention the inker too: Herb Trimpe, as this giant size Treasury was inked by several different inkers (and Kirby-fans of their own, including also Barry Smith and John Romita Sr.).

A wonderful splash that probably inspired the line in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier that Cap may have retired to the moon. A masterwork of 70's Kirby for the bicentennial celebration and it is one of his most imaginative. Kirby's lifelong love for America shines through with his skillful Cap images.

Complementi per questo pezzo impressionante. Un capolavoro. Penso che dal vivo lasci senza fiato. Complementi àncora!

Cap looks to be a little out of his element, but Kirby is spot on!

Definitely a unique Cap piece! His expression makes total sense considering where he is :) Love all the dark inks, too. Killer title splash overall. Congrats!

That's one small step for Cap, one giant leap for your collection.
