Description

Valiant's antihero Shadowman tackles a Redneck serial-killer family on this page. Nice images of Shadowman in the first couple panels.

Ditko's distinctive figure and facial work comes through on the page (particularly in panels 1, 2, 3 and 7) even through Mayo's lush inks.

Happy to add a Ditko page to the collection. At the way prices are escalating for his work, this may remain my only one.

Jim Shooter relays on his blog how Ditko came to work for him at Valiant. He says that contrary to opinion, Ditko was very social and loved to talk with the Valiant staff including other artists and writers when he dropped off art at the office.
