Description

D.C./Vertigo Comics. May, 2003.

I remember reading this for the first time as a teenager back in 2006 and thinking damn, Yorick can be a suave wordsmith! A very memorable page, and bittersweet considering the events that follow. The art extends outside the normal interior page panel borders. Signed by Pia at the bottom.

A big thanks to Bob for working out a trade deal for this!

I met Jose Marzan Jr. at NYCC2024 and got him to sign this on the bottom margin. Really nice guy, and was ahead of the curve on OA as he still has a good chunk of his original pages from the book.

Great panel page that pays off with story and visuals.  You don't need to know anything about this series to know this page is the climax out of a romance story.

That is one smooth line---gonna have to use that some day.  Though that means finding a girl who'll let me kiss her once.

It is a fine bit of storytelling with a very nice payoff in the final panel. Cheers!

Loved all the interactions between Yorick and Sonia (less so what followed after), and the gag here is pretty fun.  Congrats on a great page!

Nicely observed characters, great poses and some delicate inks. Nice page!
