Description"Every revolution begins with a spark"My horror not horror collection continues to grow. A hearty thanks to TM for letting this beauty go. Out with the Zeke, in with the new. King and Walta's masterpiece hit me like The Watchmen when I first read it, returning to comics after a long break. This entire issue is a marvel of allegory and philosophy - The brutal wheel of our lives continues to turn, and it turns for everyone. We are just able to hitch on and do our best to stay on top. Nice pickup! I feel like caffeine isn't doing it this morning so I could use a good brain shock as well.

A quintessential comic work of the 21st century. Chicken dinner right here!

Brainy: Papa Smurf *always* says..."What is conciousness, if not brain preserving?"
Smurfette: Brainy. The last time you smurfed around with Papa Smurf's magic potions, you made my garden grow those huge Venus Smurf-traps that tried to eat us all up!

Really gorgeous wash work here, M L, which manages to "tamp down" any heightened superheroic reality into a controlled type of atmosphere to underscore the main themes of 'The Vision'; this page is at once (by design) off-the-hook crazy, and "everyday mundane" thanks to a muted palette and "undramatic" layout. Drama, pathos, and suspense, all under a layer of grey (as if the page itself was on anti-depressants, trying to cope with its own out-of-control reality). Really beautiful work from an important modern book - mega congrats!
