Description

A variant cover for the newest Expanse comic book mini-series from 2020/2021.

There are very few hand drawn pieces from the newest Expanse comic, so when I found out about this variant cover I knew I had to own it! According to the artist's Instagram post about this cover, it is drawn using "pen and ink, watercolor, acrylics, gouache and color pencil on watercolor paper."

The starfield backdrop is very finely done to bring focus on the central figure and allow us to more easily pay attention to all the subtle lighting and glow effects done in paint.
