Oh man! This one is incredible, this was the GameStop variant of I'm remembering correctly? Thanks for sharing and congrats, legendary characters by a legendary artist

While I am not sure what the 'GameStop variant' is, I know it is a variant. When I archived this page I did notice the list of variants and Keown was one of them. I simply liked the detail that this man puts into his work, and who could ever forget the 'kiss in the rain' between Spidey and Mary Jane.

Game stop is a video game retailer that had some exclusive comics they sold in their shops. This was the cover for one of them! The detail is great and that scene of totally iconic.

If you google Spider-Man/Deadpool 1 GameStop variant you can see the colored version 😁

Hilarious! I was the original owner of this cover. Glad it made its way to CAF for all to see!

That is soooo awesome.
But one big question: Why in the world would you sell this priceless gem by an important artist and an iconic pose (stolen from the famous 'kiss' in the rain Spidey and MaryJane) and representation?!

I was replying to your question about why I sold this cover in the first place, and I did it in order to raise funds to purchase a Keown Hulk cover. Never intended to indicate that you sold this piece 😉
