Description"Make Way for... Medusa!"July 1968 Medusalith Amaquelin-Boltagon (aka MEDUSA), Inhuman, Queen of Attilan is one of my super favourite caracthers in Marvel Universe. She and her long and red hair do not need introduction. First appeared in FF36 as a Frightful Four member. If I'm not wrong, this is one of her first appearances (Thor / Sub-Mariner) out of FF run and one of her early appearances during Silver Age. Any detail on this page is masterly drawn and inked. The page has all the special flavour that any Silver Age page can have. Page is signed in inks by legendary Marvel artist JOHN ROMITA. I can't ask for more. I feel grafeful and happy for having this small gem! "I am the Queen-in-absentia of the Royal City of Attilan, and your sovereign. Do not dare gaze into your queen. You haven't the right." Poor Montgomery G. Bliss...!!!!! Probably this is the reason why this is the first and the last appearance of him in Marvel Universe... :) Thanks so much West!

That's a great interlude page showing the personal dynamic of Stan and Young Roy, always looking for a marketing angle! Wonderful piece of Silver Age fun that was a part of the flagship title of the Marvel imprint!

Hi Marcus! Agree! Page for sure is not an historic one but has a lot of small details that make it special. It's quite rare, with a not usual caracther and for me, it has this special touch that only the pages from ASM during Silver Age have.
thanks so much my friend!

The Romita/Heck/Esposito mix looks great here. Even with all those cooks in the kitchen, I can still see each of their individual styles. A little more Romita than the others, tho. ;) That early Medusa design was so fun, and what a great crossover storyline. Man, not a lot of artists do such full backgrounds anymore. Great page. Congrats!

Fully Agree in all your comms. The fact of the backgrounds doesn't go unseen. IMO all the OA from Silver and Bronze age is so great and special because artists payed atention in all the details. What to say about Jack Kbirby machinery, for instance. I love pages from ASM that have buildings, streets, etc. thanks so much!

So if we move to another reality you might sell it? "So you're telling me there's a chance". ;) Great piece, man! Classic stuff. Cannot beat an ASM page by JRSR. A couple great shots of Medusa for sure. Big congrats!

If you deal with Stephen Strange maybe you could find me in the multiverse... i agree it can't be more classic. To me it is the magic of this piece. Thanks so much my friend!

Some of the best Amazing Spider-Man pages don't feature Spider-man at all. Take this one. A Hair Spray manufacturer sees Medusa of the Inhumans arrive dramatically in NYC and decides that, with her flowing red hair, she should star in their advertising. It's a lightly humorous look at modern advertising and you just know that it's going to lead to problems only the Amazing Spider-Man can solve. Beautifully drawn and laid out by John Romita Sr. and Don Heck, it's a fun setup for what's sure to be an action-packed story. Great inks by Mike Esposito make this page a true stunner. Great pick-up, congrats!
