DescriptionFran Matera (American)The Legend of Bruce Lee — newspaper strip, 10-3-1982 Pen and ink on illustration board 13.5 X 19 in. In 1982, the LA Times published The Legend of Bruce Lee, written by Sharman DiVono and illustrated by Fran Matera. The strip debuted just around the time the Bruce Lee craze had diminished, and it entered the dustbin of history after only about a year. Despite its relative obscurity, I think the depictions of Lee in the classic crime/detective genre make this a nice piece of Bruce Lee nostalgia. Social/Sharing |

Love this one. The style on Bruce's face is reminiscent of the old He-man or Super Friends tv show style (Filmation). Congrats!!
