5.25x17" artboard has pen and ink original art for Strip No. 947, from the 1932 "Flee Into Wilderness" story. Strip features art by Lt. Dick Calkins, the first Buck Rogers artist. Strip features three illustration panels (as well as introduction text panel) and shows Wilma Deering, Kaxla and Gadarxtl discussing plot, only for Wilma to draw her ray gun on the pair in last panel. Wilma appears in every illustration panel. Last panel has been signed by the artist beside strip number. Undated, but lower left has printed John F. Dille Co. copyright. Large pin holes at corners w/scattered dust soiling to margins and even aging. Back has paper remnants and strips of double-sided tape (which remains sticky) as once mounted. Left/right margins have archival tape place on back, partially covering corner pin holes. Fine overall but art remains clean and VF. Gene Seger Buck Rogers Collection.
