Fabulous fifties page of Archie and Veronica! The fashions and the patterns they wear on them are really stylish for the times. The DeCarlo thick line inks give that good girl and innocent look a classic shine.

I was just thinking that DeCarlo between his Archie and non-Archie assignments must've studied women's fashion like few others.
Missed ya at the SF show, Marcus (I'm based in the city) -- next time!

That top right panel looks awesome. It seems like it could be re-used in current Pop culture.

So what did Archie do?!? Veronica was right to be suspicious.

Happened to have the issue, turns out it was part of a Betty scheme but of course (she insinuated that surprise gifts are for soothing a man's guilty conscience, and that flowers are so unoriginal for that purpose)... this is pure psy ops!

Oh, Betty. That sweet demeanor hides a cunning manipulator of the first order.

Classic Pep! I loved the series. It was really fun in the early issues, when they had the Shield in it, too. Was such a bizarre and awesome pairing. Very cool find, and gorgeous Decarlo art. Congrats!

Ah, Archie and Veronica! One of those fabulous Fifties' romantic duos, like Doris Day and Rock Hudson, Frankie and Annette, Gidget and Moondoggie! Too bad Betty had to keep trying to horn in on the action!

Man, this DeCarlo work you've been posting lately is out of sight, Steve! Such exceptional storytelling, and beautiful, crystal clear art... Love all the visual texture here, between Archie's stripes and solids, Ronnie's spots, and masterfully executed "just right" backgrounds... I really need to add one of these to my collection sometime. These are twice-up, correct? Wonderful - must look amazing in person! Thank you for sharing these!

Twice-up is right, Jason; B&V pages I've got from 1967 are not. : ) And by all means, happy collecting!
