Description

I think most people would agree that this is one of the most iconic comic book covers of the 1980's. When Marvel Press wanted to release this as a poster, they commissioned Phil Zimelman to repaint the colors on it as he had been Mike's collaborator on the Punisher Limited Series covers. The B&W art was enlarged on a blueline for Phil to paint. To complete the look an acetate overlay of the B&W art was placed on top. A very impressive piece in person!

This is my favorite Marvel Press poster! The colors are so lush and serves to accentuate the ferocity of the fight! I love this image so much, it served as my desktop PC's wallpaper for several years in the late 90's!
