Struzan hits the mark once more with the epic scale and theme of the movie depicted in such a grandiose manner. It was a western set on water and there is the sun and the sea with no land in between. Waterworld may have gotten bad press for the budget, but the story behind the production and the logistics of making this movie is Hollywood history that is more interesting than the movie itself. And after all is said and done, looking back, the movie did make money.

Comprehensive drawings and paintings, or comps, are what artists often call preliminary pieces. But this looks finished! Fantastic colors, terrific composition, great likeness, and wonderful handling all around
