DescriptionOne of my major discoveries while scrolling through the endless Instagram feed in 2020 was Brazilian artist Jefter Leite. I fell in love with his style and work - definitely thanks to an Olivier Coipel kind of influence that's noticeable in his paintings.I felt Jefter was perfect for another iteration in my MJ & Gwen collection & we set up a piece in May 2021. He sent me a couple of prelims, and in all honesty, I could have picked any and the composition would have been equally nice as this one. With this piece, aside from Jefter's typical style, I love the less traditional superhero posing, more naturalistic composition, and playfulness of it all. It should be said that after seeing this one when it was finished in December 2021, I ordered another piece (where I loved two prelims so much, I asked Jefter to work on both). And I'm happy to call Jefter a friend now, too! This commission was created done in pencils, inks & watercolors and its size is 11x17. Social/Sharing |
