Description

My brother Jim commissioned Phil Hester to draw Brainiac, Black Manta, Bizarro, Professor Zoom/Reverse Flash, Ra's al Ghul, Lady Shiva, and the Shade, and Phil responded with this brilliant Alternate Legion of Doom team shot! I love how Ra's looks completely sinister, and the great JLU version of The Shade! Thanks, Phil-- Jim loves it!

Hester is able to arrange this mix of characters with great balance and contrast of black and white just perfectly.

This is great! So many baddies featured, and brought to you via some nice composition. I like the more angular style and subsequent looks for them all, too. Also, nice use of shadow! Really a winning image all around, Doc - congrats!

Beautiful piece, Doc! Gotta echo KG and Marcus here and say that I love the characters and balance of the composition here. I'm unsure if I love Bizarro or Black Manta more here... I may have to go with the Manta, just because of how fantastic he looks popping out in front of Ra's as a big shadow... Great execution all around! Congrats, Doc!
