Cockrum's Legion was cutting edge for team books and is a blast to look at. It is the Anderson inks that gave it a delightful timeless polish full of emotion.

It's an interesting mix of the Bronze Age "new" (Cockrum) and the Silver Age "classic" (Anderson). Plus, you just can't beat a page with Matter-Eater Lad, my all-time favorite Legionaire('s name).
