Beautiful (or should I say horrific) painting.  Always love the D&D OA pickups

Great paints, and love the misting effect in the background.

I like the pick in her hair that she probably just uses to cut open the top of the pie crust before baking.  Who doesn't love pie?

Better than Sweeny Todd's, these are. Best savory pies in all of Ravenloft! MUA-HAHAHAHAHA! Oh...sorry, the cackle slipped out, please buy a pie. Fantastic D&D piece, with excellent color. I can almost hear that old crone's cackle. Great find. Congrats!

Beautiful.  Ravenloft and Dragonlance were my favorite DandD settings.  Do you know if the spell fire card game art was traditional art?

I'd imagine so since it was so long ago -- but much if not all was actually existing art repurposed for the game!

I do believe it was all. The game got a lot of flak for using recycled art.

If you intend to make this recipe at home and can’t find finely milled children’s bones, store-bought is fine (5-3/4 to 6-1/2 cups all-purpose flour total). Hags' ovens may vary, but try 350 Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes.

Dream Pastries
Ingredients
0.5 oz. living yeast
1/2 cup sugar total
2 cups heated milk (above body temp)
4 cups finely milled flour
1-3/4 to 2-1/2 cups finely milled children’s bones
4 large egg yolks, room temp
3 pinches salt
1/4 cup butter
2 cups fruit preserve filling (seasonal fruit preferred)
1 large egg white, beaten
Instructions
Dissolve yeast and palmful of sugar in warm milk; let stand. Once ready, combine 1 cup each flour and bone powder, remaining sugar, egg yolks, salt, butter, and yeast/milk mixture. Add remaining flour and bone. Mix until smooth, then knead on floured surface until smooth and elastic. Let dough rise in greased bowl until doubled in size. Punch down and let rise again. Roll out on floured surface to half inch thickness and cut even circles with longest fingernail. Make indentation for filling and fill. Brush dough with egg white. Bake in a medium oven until light, golden brown.

Great painting!  Lotsa colors to pore over, and ain't Morgantha just so eerily fun?!  Love the hues of blue on the right, too, along with some nice depth exhibited.  Congrats!
