Description

This is original art for a daily (dated 8-30-1971) from the newspaper strip "Batman with Robin the Boy Wonder" that ran from 1966 to 1973, syndicated by the Ledger Syndicate. The strip was written by E. Nelson Bridwell, penciled by Nick Cardy, and inked by Al Plastino.

While there is no Batman or Robin on the strip, it does feature great images of Batgirl and Poison Ivy in action. Being a fan of Batgirl, I had long wanted to get a strip with her in it. I missed out on this one the last time it sold, so I was glad to be able to add it to my collection now.

This piece is not for sale.

Batgirl had the high ground and should have won, but she let Ivy get even footing in this fantastic moonlight cliff setting overlooking the calm ocean.

Wow! Fabulous Batman comic strip with Batgirl and Poison Ivy! Fun playful panels by Nick Cardy and Al Plastino! Love that wide shot in the opening panel and the final panel with Poison Ivy attacking Batgirl! Great pick-up!
